Less than ten chapters of editing and the 4th edition will be ready for formatting/compiling/typesetting.

Reading Creepers and Dust... that world is somewhat reminiscent of Stephen King's Gunslinger world. Desolate, yet rich.

Yeah, it's definitely supposed to have that post-apocalyptic "The world has moved on" kind of vibe. It's still part of the larger Andira world, but I wanted to show a place that wasn't as idyllic as the setting for the main storyline.

One of the things I've been doing is writing a bunch of short stories, character sketches and so forth as a means of building and exploring the overall story world. So this was my way of trying to figure out what life might be like in other places of Andira.

I enjoyed it. I like your writing style, it's very crisp, very lucid... You do have a knack for conveying imagery with words. Which is what it's all about, really.

Thanks! I sometimes wonder if my writing is a bit too sparse. It's hard to break the poetry-writing mindset I've had and break into full blown prose. But I guess that's where the imagery comes from. I hope you enjoy the rest ... though, admittedly, some of it is a bit rambling ... more like stream-of-consciousness type stuff.

Stream of consciousness works well enough in getting it out there. It's great for world building and backstory type stuff as well. When writing early drafts of anything, to really get it done you gotta write like you just don't care... at least that's how it worked for me.

But later on, you gotta edit like every comma matters, like every typo is poison.

(I am so looking forward to when rev. 4 is finally out and I can market the hell out of it without being embarrassed by all the glaring weaknesses in the older versions)
